Land Required: Life for a Life
Life for a Life is a registered charity whose mission is to establish memorial forests where individuals, families and friends can plant trees in memory of loved ones. Since being established in 1999, they now have 55 forests totalling 140 acres under active management having planted over 11,000 trees.
Whilst the principal focus is to engage with the families who dedicate memorial trees, the charity also works alongside landowners, community groups, local schools and businesses to develop and improve the environment by creating well managed amenities for everyone to enjoy. Over time, trees develop into established forests offering significant social and environmental benefits for the wider community whilst enabling landowners to leave a lasting legacy.
